Dolly Parton's official home.

We designed and built dollyparton.com on Webflow: seven decades of music, film, philanthropy, and news, in one place for the fans who come looking for her.

The brief

Seven decades, one home online.

Dolly's official site had grown up on WordPress, and it had a lot to carry: a career that ran from a one-room cabin in the Smoky Mountains to stages around the world, a catalog spanning seven decades, the Imagination Library, and a steady stream of news for the fans who follow every release.

We built the new site to hold all of it, stay fast under heavy traffic with an advanced caching system, and feel like her: warm, handmade, and unmistakably Dolly.

What we built
The Life & Career timeline on dollyparton.com, with decade markers arcing over a Smoky Mountain sunset

A design system rooted in her story

Golden Hour Yellow, Heritage Berry, and Smoky Mountain blue, with paper textures, torn edges, and her butterfly throughout. The Life & Career timeline walks visitors decade by decade, from a one-room cabin in Locust Ridge, Tennessee to stages around the world.

A CMS built for seven decades

News, the decade timeline, and her discography all run on Webflow's CMS, so new releases and announcements publish without touching the design.

Search that finds what fans want

Site-wide search across news, music, and pages, with results that appear as you type.

The dollyparton.com accessibility panel, with profiles and text and reading options

Accessibility built in

A custom accessibility widget with profiles for low vision, dyslexia, seizure safety, motor assistance, and more, plus reading tools like a reading mask, a reading guide, and a dyslexia-friendly font.

When the world came looking.

We were close to launching the new site when Dolly passed away on August 25, 2026.

That day, as fans everywhere went looking for her, the traffic took her existing WordPress site offline. I built a new landing page and took over the hosting myself to bring dollyparton.com back up, so the people looking for her could find her.

Then the new site had to change, too. In the final stretch before launch, we reworked it to honor her, with a tribute page that tells her full story and a wall where fans can share what Dolly means to them.

A project like this runs on trust, and Dolly's team gave us a lot of it, especially in those weeks. We're grateful we got to build it.

The next step

Let's build something that lasts.
